Multigenre Literacy Autobiography

I enjoyed doing the Multigenre Literacy Autobiography assignment. While viewing others’ presentations, I began to remember many of the things that should have been placed within my own PowerPoint. I forgot many of the television shows that I used to watch while I was growing up, such as Saturday Night Live, and even Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. Although I was glad to present on the first day, there was a part of me that wanted to have another week to place the missing pieces of my childhood back into my PowerPoint presentation.
There were several things that other students added in there presentation that I liked, but one of them sticks out the most for me. I really liked the idea of putting a picture of the English teacher that influenced you the most. Like many people, I had one teacher that went above and beyond the expectations, which caused me to want to become a teacher myself. It would have been a nice gesture of appreciation to that person, if I would have put a photograph of him in my PowerPoint.

  1. I forgot so many things for my presentation too, after I watched some of the others. I wasn't there on the first presentation day so I didn't get to see most of them, but I agree that it's really cool that some people put a picture of their favorite English teacher into their autobiographies. I actually don't have an English teacher that sticks out in my memory as going above and beyond. I definitely remember and can easily visualize most of them... most were actually pretty eccentric... but for some reason, I can't remember who my English teacher was for 9th grade. I guess that's not really a good sign. On the other hand, though, I don't remember any of my English teachers being bad teachers, either. I'm sure there was a really great teacher right in front of me and I just didn't take the time to realize it!
